Marriott names loyalty program SVP

Marriott International has appointed David Flueck to oversee Marriott’s loyalty programs.
As new senior vice president, loyalty, Fleuck will provide global leadership and strategic direction for loyalty programs Marriott Rewards, which includes The Ritz-Carlton Rewards, and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) .
During a 13-year career at Starwood he led the SPG program and also oversaw the global revenue management team.
"Marriott places a high priority on cultivating strong relationships with loyalty members across the best hotel portfolio in the industry," said Karin Timpone, global marketing officer, Marriott.
"David’s vision, passion, business acumen and track record in loyalty will keep the focus on our guests while propelling our continued success."
Meanwhile Thom Kozik will continue as vice president of loyalty, with responsibility for Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards, and reports to Flueck.
