Miles Jupp to host British Travel Awards
Actor, comedian, TV and radio presenter Miles Jupp is to host this year’s British Travel Awards, which take place in London next month.
Jupp has starred in BBC sitcom Rev, Netflix’s hit show The Crown and other programmes such as Have I Got News for You and QI.
With an ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ theme travel industry guests at the event will experience all four corners of the globe at the Battersea Evolution venue – from ancient Egypt, via the souks of Marrakech and ornate temples of Japan, to the snowy hills of Kathmandu, all illuminated by the Northern Lights.
An entertainment-packed evening will see dancers, acrobats, Chinese dragons and Cirque performers delight everyone, with a live band and DJ to get everyone on the dancefloor after the award presentations.
BTA CEO Lorraine Barnes Burton said: "With less than six weeks to go before the big night we’re already 90% sold.
"It’s always a superb night; a chance to dress up, an entertainment packed evening with a glamorous pre-awards drinks reception, a sumptuous dinner with wine and live entertainment, brilliant travel industry networking and for some the excitement of winning a coveted British Travel Award."
This year the charities to benefit from the silent auction and industry donations will be the NSPCC and the Family Holiday Association.
The BTAs are the only travel industry accolades that are voted for exclusively by the travelling public, with the votes verified by Deloitte.
The BTAs take place on November 28. Click here to book tickets.
