More top speakers for question time debates
Dan Brewin has become the latest high-profile speaker to join the next TravelMole Travel Industry Question Time on the future of aviation.
Former BA executive Brewin, now vice president Europe of Eos, will bring his forthright views to an exert panel that has been assembled for the event, ‘Pie in the Sky’.
The debate will take place next Tuesday, November 29, at ABTA’s Newman Street headquarters from 3pm to 5pm.
Other panellists include Cheapflight.co.uk chief executive David Soskin, Advantage Travel Centres director of business travel Norman Gage, Thomsonfly commercial director Guy Stephenson and TelMe Farebase managing director Peter Muller.
Among the topics being discussed are what is the right strategy for agents and operators selling flights, the future of low cost carriers, the implications of GDS deregulation and the impact of technology on selling air.
The following week, December 6, TravelMole’s question time will turn its attention to the cruise industry with Ocean of Opportunity.
The event, sponsored by Amadeus, market leader in cruise applications for agents, will examine how big the cruise industry can get, what factors will shape its growth, how agents can get in on the act and what impact dynamic packaging could have on the sector.
Speakers include P&O Cruises managing director David Dingle, Island Cruises MD Patrick Ryan, 1st4cruising MD Kevin Ivie, Royal Caribbean UK and Ireland MD Robin Shaw, Director of Passenger Shipping Association William Gibbons and Amadeus UK and Ireland director of marketing Elaine Seeto.
Both Pie in the Sky and Oceans of Opportunity will be chaired by travel journalist and commentator Jeremy Skidmore.
