Mt Everest pleasure flights to resume
Himalayan sightseeing flights are set to resume next week in Nepal.
The mountain view flights will restart due to strong customer demand after eight months of inactivity, said local carrier Yeti Airlines.
"Along with the travel demand, there has been a request for sightseeing activities from people as well as residential foreigners," said Sudarshan Bartaula, spokesperson for Yeti Airlines.
"We will be conducting the flight once a week [on Saturday] and increase the frequency based on the demand," he said.
The airline is offering a buy one, get one free offer to kick-start the service.
Buddha Air also announced a similar BOGO offer, and will also operate once a week.
The mountain view flights include trips over Mt Everest.
Scheduled domestic services in Nepal restarted in September but sightseeing flights have been halted since March.
