New Flybe set to open ticket sales

Flybe 2.0 is edging ever closer towards a relaunch.
The resurrected regional carrier will open ticket sales on March 22, more than two years after it collapsed.
Thyme Opco, affiliate of Flybe investor Cyrus Capital, acquired the remaining assets of the business nearly a year ago.
Flybe recently announced it will operate from Birmingham, and just confirmed Belfast City Airport as a second base.
“Next week is going to be an exciting time for customers and communities that have been waiting to hear from us about low fares, new routes, and new destinations,” said Flybe CEO Dave Pflieger.
“It is being timed to coincide with the restart of the economy and a return to normalcy after two difficult years for all.”
Flybe still hasn’t disclosed a definite launch date, other than it expects to start flying in the spring.
It will announce first routes in the coming days.
It plans to operate a fleet of De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 twin-turboprops.
