Leeds Bradford managing director, Ed Anderson said there was huge demand for low cost flights in the region.
The airport announced record passenger numbers this summer, with 783,858 passengers using the airport between May and September. It’s fastest growing routes are to Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh and Amsterdam.
Other airlines operating flights from the airport include bmi british midland, klmuk, British Airways, British European, Ryanair and Manx Airlines.
