New sales and marketing director for Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic has appointed Paul Dickinson to the newly created role of sales and marketing director.
He was previously director customer services for the airline and will continue to oversea this part of the business.
In the new, expanded role, he will head up Virgin’s global sales and marketing teams and will be responsible for Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club loyalty scheme, contact centres and e-commerce.
Before joining Virgin in November 2001, Dickinson was sales and marketing director for the Consumer Division of the RAC and has also held positions for Granada and Air Miles.
The move comes after Virgin Atlantic’s current marketing director, Alison Copus, was appointed to a new role at Virgin Unite, Virgin’s charitable foundation.
The airline said more details of this role will be announced in due course.
