New ships, new deals from Avalon Waterways
SYDNEY – Avalon Waterways has unveiled the latest addition to its European fleet – Avalon Creativity.
The 140-passenger vessel was christened by Newsweek Budget Travel president Nancy Telliho in a ceremony in the Netherlands fishing village of Volendam.
Avalon Creativity is Avalon Waterways’ eighth new ship in Europe since 2004.
Post-christening, the Avalon Creativity set sail on its inaugural Romantic Rhine cruise.
In 2010, the Avalon Creativity will move to Western Europe, cruising Avalon Waterways’ new Grand France and Paris to Normandy’s Landing Beaches itineraries.
The ship’s features include the largest staterooms available on a river cruise vessel, flat screen televisions, Egyptian cotton linens, mini-bar, safe, laundry and ironing services, a fully equipped fitness room, library, hair salon and gift shop, as well as a club lounge and large Jacuzzi pool on the Sky Deck.
Avalon Waterways is currently offering mid-year deals on its 2010 European river cruises, with free flights to Europe, free stopovers in Asia and cash savings.
