New York rolls out state-wide vaccine passport
New York state has launched the ‘Excelsior Pass,’ a vaccine passport style verification sytem for Covid tests and proof of vaccination. It comes as stadiums and other venues across New York are allowing a limited number of fans and attendees back to games and events.
The pass will be available for stadiums, arenas, wedding receptions, and catered events. Users will be able to print out their pass or display it on their phones using the Excelsior Pass Wallet App and is verified by a unique QR code.
It is ready to go live after two successful pilot programs.
