Norwegian Cruise Line is sending a second big ship to the Chinese market.
Scheduled for delivery in 2019, the fourth Breakaway Plus class ship will join the Norwegian Joy in China.
Norwegian Joy joins the fleet this year as the first dedicated for the China market and will sail from Shanghai.
Business has been brisk for bookings for Norwegian Joy, and Norwegian sees strong demand for a second dedicated ship.
"As of this time Norwegian Joy’s occupancy based on signed full and partial ship charters … is significantly ahead of the Norwegian fleet," said Frank del Rio, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings CEO.
Overall, the company’s 2017 booked position is at a ‘historic high’ with pricing higher than last year, del Rio said.
