Norwegian Jewel to sail from Panama
Norwegian Cruise Line is returning Norwegian Jewel to service, and will be NCL’s first ship sailing from Panama City
The fully renovated ship becomes the 13th in the 17-ship fleet to return to service
It will offer itineraries to Alaska from May through September before homeporting in Panama beginning 24 November 2022.
Norwegian Jewel features the outdoor Sports Complex, high energy Zumba and Flywheel Sports classes, as well as multiple uniquely themed bars and lounges
Norwegian Jewel’s first Panama sailing departed on a 12-day sailing up the South American coast, visiting nine ports.
Itinerary highlights include a journey to Puerto Quetzal, where guests can go on a safari through one of the largest animal parks in Guatemala, as well as Las Caletas, swimming with sea lions
Other destinations include Puntarenas, Costa Rica, and ending in San Diego
“Norwegian Jewel’s first sail is not just another major milestone in our Great Cruise Comeback but it’s the sign of a bright future as we will seasonally homeport from Panama in November,” said Norwegian Cruise Line President and Chief Executive Officer, Harry Sommer.
Through the end of March 2023, Norwegian Jewel will offer a total of eight Panama Canal roundtrip cruises ranging from eight-to-10-days
