NZ to deport driver in deadly bus crash
The driver convicted of careless driving in a crash that killed five tourists will be deported. Junwei Zhang was convicted of careless use of a motor vehicle causing death and sentenced to four and a half months’ home detention, and ordered to pay $13,000.
He lost control of the bus near Rotorua in 2019. Now he faces deportation to China in the coming weeks after a decision by the Immigration and Protection Tribunal.
