Oneworld names Board chairman

Qantas chief executive oficer Geoff Dixon will become chairman of the Oneworld alliance Governing Board.

He succeeds Fernando Conte, chairman and chief executive ofIberia, who has held the position for more than two years.

A Oneworld statement said Dixon will act as “first among equals” of the chief executives of the grouping’s member airlines, with effect from their next meeting, in LA next week.
