Orbitz offers “total pricing” - TravelMole

Orbitz offers “total pricing”

Saturday, 01 Jun, 2004 0

Orbitz’ new Matrix Display allows travelers to add hotel and car packages for the first time factoring in “total pricing”  –  including all taxes.

Said John Samuel, executive vice president of Consumer Travel:

“By providing total pricing on hotel plus car packages, Orbitz customers can avoid the surprise of owing more for taxes on the car, a cost that can nearly double the rental price in some markets.”

Available from Orbitz’ home page, users can search live inventory of up to three car companies and 20 hotel options with just one click.

Orbitz used examples of saving up to 39% (Las Vegas) on custom hotel plus car packages at various destinations.
