Canadian capital Ottawa is all set to bring the beautiful game to life this summer as one of the host cities for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The month long tournament features the finest national teams in women’s football, kicking off from June 6 to July 5.
Ottawa will be hosting nine games over six match days at the historic the 24,000 seat Landsdowne Stadium. The first action in Ottawa kicks off with Norway taking on Thailand on June 7, followed by a match-up between tournament favourites Germany and the Ivory Coast later in the day.
It promises to be a strongly contested tournament with the England national team in a tough group with France, Colombia and Mexico. Away from the football, Ottawa ensures visiting fans keen to pursue their own sporting adventure are well served.

Between matches, there is opportunity to go biking along the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, soaring above the skyline in an open-cockpit biplane, or white water rafting.

During the tournament the renowned TD Ottawa International Jazz Festival hits the right note, leading up to the vibrant celebration of Canada Day on July 1.
