PAL, Cambodia Airways sanctioned by China over Covid cases
China’s civil aviation regulator has dished out temporary flight suspensions to Philippine Airlines and Cambodia Airways. Both airlines had five positive Covid cases on inbound flights after post-arrival tests. That means an automatic two-week flight suspension on the Manila-Tianjin and Phnom Penh to Chengdu routes.
The flight suspensions take effect from 23 August. The CAAC says the airlines cannot transfer capacity quotas onto other routes because of the temporary flight bans.
