Several passengers onboard an airport bus were injured after a window was blown out by the blast of a taxiing jetliner at Delhi Airport.
In a freak accident, the impact of a jet blast from a passing Spicejet plane shattered the front window of a IndiGo bus heading to a waiting plane, injuring five occupants.
All injuries were described as minor and were dealt with at the airport clinic.
They were later cleared to fly.
"IndiGo Coach number 34 was parked at Bay 17 for boarding of passengers on flight 6E-191 to Mumbai. The jet blast from the (SpiceJet) aircraft broke the right front window glass of the coach," IndiGo said in a statement.
However SpiceJet said it was ‘too early to say if the incident was caused by jet blast.’
The pilot was ‘following ATC instructions and taxiing after landing at Delhi,’ Spicejet added.
Aviation regulator DGCA is investigating the incident.
