Passengers who flew to Argentina last year could be eligible for a tax refund.
The government of the South American country, which is trying to attract more tourists, has back-dated a tax refund worth $8 per passenger.
British Airways has published a notice on its website inviting anyone who bought a ticket in 2016 and travelled in 2017 to apply for a refund.
The airline said the Argentine government had asked all carriers flying into the country to pass on the information.
In January last year, the government also announced all international visitors would receive a direct VAT Refund for their hotel and accommodation expenses, including breakfasts if they were included in the nightly rate, providing payments were made by credit card or bank transfer.
The government said the move was designed to attract more visitors to Argentina, but the refunds were restricted to those paying by card or bank transfer to avoid foreigners exchanging their cash on the black market.
