Patrick Ryan quits for personal reasons
All Leisure Group has confirmed the departure of Patrick Ryan, chief operating officer of its Swan Hellenic and Voyages of Discovery brands.
Ryan, formerly the UK head of Royal Caribbean and Island Cruises, had joined All Leisure in May, reporting to group chief executive Ian Smith.
In a statement issued late on Friday, Smith said Ryan had resigned for personal reasons.
"I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Patrick for his contribution to the business and wish him all the best for the future," he said.
He said Captain Stuart Horne, director of fleet operations for Swan Hellenic and Voyages of Discovery, has taken on the majority of Ryan’s responsibilities on an interim basis.
"Stuart is a senior operations professional with 35 years of marine experience and an in-depth knowledge of the business. We are confident that this knowledge and experience will enable us to continue to drive growth across these two cruise brands," added Smith.
