Hundreds of flight attendants at American Airlines subsidiary Piedmont Airlines voted to strike. The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA says all flight attendants that took part in the vote approved the strike.
The action relates to pay and lack of progress over contract negotiations. The union says it has been ‘engaged in contract negotiations for more than three years.’
Piedmont flies to more than 50 cities and operates nearly 400 daily flights throughout the eastern U.S.
