An early morning blaze has badly damaged three ferries in northern Malaysia’s island hotspot Langkawi.
The three ferries were docked at a pier when the fires started.
The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department said they were alerted a little after 2:00am local time.
“Upon arrival, it was found that the fire involved three ferries that were fully ablaze. There are four ferries stationed close to each other at the pier,” it said.
Two of the three were almost completely destroyed while a third suffered less damage.
A fourth ferry was at the pier but escaped fire damage.
