Porter Airlines extends flight cancellations
Toronto based Porter Airlines has extended its flight service suspension for another month.
It won’t resume flights now until July 29.
The airline halted flights on March 21 and the continued uncertainty over travel restrictions and border closures has affected its ability to restart flights earlier, said CEO Michael Deluce.
Porter had planned to restart operations in late June.
"We want to see our planes in the sky as soon as possible and are actively working to prepare for our resumption of service. We are closely watching developments and know that Porter will be an important part of providing people with travel options as the economy recovers," Deluce said.
The airline will introduce enhanced health and safety measures, which will be announced in detail nearier the time.
The airline is waiving change and cancellation fees on all tickets booked for travel until July 29.
