Portugal airport strikes called off

Strikes planned for today and tomorrow (Friday) at Portuguese airports have been called off at the last minute.

Travellers had been warned of disruption from the strikes by immigration staff, which were threatened at all of the country’s airports.

SEF workers have been taking industrial action since January in a protest over the loss of certain rights, and previous walk-outs had caused queues of up to two hours.
