Radisson Edwardian to run London Docklands hotel
A new four-star hotel in London’s Docklands is to be run by Radisson Edwardian.
The riverside property due to open in 2007 with 169-rooms will be run on a long-term management contract.
Situated in the New Providence Wharf development, the hotel will be based in an eight-storey building connected via a glass atrium to the base of a 30-storey tower which will include more than 700 residential apartments, shops and offices.
The building is described as having “curved glass, stainless steel and terracotta facade” to complement existing buildings in the Canary Wharf-area development.
Radisson Edwardian founder and chairman Jasminder Singh said: “As a major supplier of deluxe hotel accommodation, we want to continue to provide a comprehensive coverage of London for all our customers. There is no doubt that they have a strong need for qualitybaccommodation in one of the world’s fastest emerging financial districts.”
The company has 11 hotels in London and one in Manchester.
