Traveling to and from Jeju Island is now easier thanks to the resumption of direct flights between Seoul Incheon International Airport and Jeju International Airport. The Incheon-Jeju route, which was suspended in 2016, has resumed full-scale operations since May 12, 2026.
Previously, travelers who arrived in Korea through Incheon International Airport and wanted to visit Jeju Island had to take the Airport Railroad or an airport bus to Gimpo International Airport and transfer to a domestic flight to reach the resort island. Now, travelers can transfer right away at Incheon International Airport, reducing the overall travel time from four hours to up to two hours for getting to Jeju Island upon arriving at Incheon.
Since Incheon International Airport does not have a separate domestic terminal, Terminal 1 is utilized for domestic routes. If passengers land at Terminal 2, they can get to Terminal 1 by taking the free shuttle bus (about 15 minutes) from Gate 1 on the 1st floor, or taking the Airport Railroad (about 5 minutes) from the B1 floor of Terminal 2.
The direct Jeju Air flight route operates on a trial basis until May 30 on every Tuesday and Saturday. From June 1 to August 7, 2026, it is scheduled to operate on every Monday and Friday. The flight time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Travelers who seek to visit Jeju as soon as possible after landing in Korea are advised to check the direct flights from Incheon International Airport to Jeju International Airport.
