Royal Caribbean lifts requirements for most cruises
Royal Caribbean Group cruise brands have again updated health protocols allowing unvaccinated guests to sail from all US ports on most cruises.
Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises will allow unvaccinated travelers to join sailings from Florida as well as California, Louisiana, Texas and most of Europe from September 5.
The eased restrictions for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity mean only unvaccinated guests are required to present a negative Covid test result within three days of embarkation for shorter cruises.
On sailings of over nine nights, all passengers over five years have to provide a negative Covid test result.
However, all guests must be fully vaccinated on transatlantic sailings and certain other destinations such as Australia, Bermuda, Canada and Singapore.
“The cruise line continues to practice health and safety measures that exceed other types of vacations,” the company said.
“These measures include the routine monitoring and vaccination of all crew members and keeping them up to date with boosters.”
These latest updates follow relaxation of rules for port calls in the Caribbean and elsewhere.
