Royal Caribbean takes off from Robin Hood
A Royal Caribbean International fly-cruise is to be offered from Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
The line is to olffer a one-off charter flight from the South Yorkshire airport to join the ship Vision of the Seas in the Dominican Republic on March 15, 2009.
The cruise itinerary covers nine ports of call including Guadeloupe, Martinique, Barbados, St Lucia, St Maarten, Margarita Island and Aruba.
Prices lead-in at £1,245 per person based on an inside cabin.
The cruise line claims that cruising is one of the most popular holiday types chosen by people in Sheffield. The city is second only to Southampton in having more cruise passengers than anywhere elswe in the UK.
Royal Caribbean’s UK and Ireland managing director Jo Rzymowska said: “With more direct long haul flights becoming available from regional hubs, we become more attractive to potential cruise holidaymakers.”
