Several injured in gas explosion at historic Texas hotel
At least 21 people have been injured after a historic Texas hotel was rocked by a large explosion.
A gas leak is suspected as the cause.
The explosion sent debris flying onto the street from the lower floors of the Sandman Signature Fort Worth Downtown Hotel.
One person is in critical condition while four others were seriously injured.
Multiple guests and fire crews said there was a strong smell of gas following the blast.
The street was strewn with shattered glass, window frames and other debris.
The Sandman Signature Fort Worth Downtown Hotel dates back to 1920, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
