A man was detained at a Jakarta Airport security checkpoint after security agents discovered 10 baby snakes stuffed down his pants.
Koufiah Jihad Zaki was arrested and could face a hefty fine or prison.
He was due to board a Garuda flight to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
"The suspect had wrapped the snakes that he wanted to take to Jeddah around both his legs," Garuda Indonesia Corporate Communications vice president, Benny Sigar Butarbutar told reporters.
The wriggly reptiles are thought to be from the python family.
