Budget-carrier SpiceJet plans to start offering customers the option of ordering a taxi ride to the airport with every flight ticket booked.
The airline has partnered with cab aggregator mytaxiindia to offer the service at the time of a flight booking on its website.
"The partnership with ‘mytaxiindia’ will encourage us to explore more routes where the demand could be higher," SpiceJet president Amit Srivastava told the Press Trust of India.
"SpiceJet expects the initiative to also help in raking in more revenues with more travellers and also complement the government’s overall efforts to boost regional air connectivity."
He said the service will be especially attractive for customers from tier II and tier III cities.
Mytaxiindia aggregates more 450 cab operators in 119 cities.
