Spirit Airlines is strengthening its presence at Baltimore with two new daily nonstop flights to Florida.
Spirit will begin flying from BWI to the Gulf Coast cities of Tampa and Fort Myers from November 10.
The low cost carrier will be in direct competition with Southwest Airlines on both routes.
It will take the number of routes served by Spirit from Baltimore to 14, which includes Chicago, Orlando, Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas and Dallas.
"Spirit Airlines continues to grow its ultra-low fare service at BWI Marshall Airport," said airport CEO Ricky Smith in a statement.
"Since first landing at BWI Marshall in 2012, the airline has rapidly added new flight options for customers from throughout the Washington-Baltimore region."
