Star Clippers to resume Southeast Asia cruises next winter
Tall ship cruise line Star Clippers is returning for a winter season in Southeast Asia for the first time in six years offering itineraries to Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore from December 2016.
After a summer season in the Mediterranean in 2016, the 170-passenger tall ship will head to the Thai island of Phuket where it will homeport until April 2017.
Seven-night roundtrip cruises will include calls in the Similan Islands, Langkawi, Phang Nga Bay and Penang.
"We have been waiting a long time to resume these popular itineraries and are now returning to Southeast Asia to explore beaches, islands and anchorages not visited by any other cruise ship," said Star Clippers president Mikael Krafft.
"We know from 15 years of past experience, when we based a ship in this region every winter, how popular these voyages are with those who enjoy sailing on a graceful tall ship in the tropics."
