Sugar Sand Festival returns to Clearwater Beach
The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival is back this spring in Florida’s Clearwater Beach.
The long stretch of white sand is more than just an idyllic spot to catch some rays. It’s also an open-air beachside art studio featuring more than a dozen expert sand sculptors starting in late Match.
The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival returns from March 29th – April 14th in 2024, showcasing the artistry of sand art in a 21,000 square-feet walk-through exhibit at Pier 60.
This festival transforms over 1,000 tons of sand into a dazzling array of visual art, expertly carved out of soft white sand.
The festival also features a children’s play area, live music and street performers, and fireworks. There are organized sculpting classes, speed sand demonstrations, and a master sand sculpting competition.
The festival is a 17-day beach-wide family friendly celebration of both sand art and the shimmering sunsets Pier 60 is famed for.
