Thai airlines want visa waiver to boost tourism
The Airlines Association of Thailand (AAT) wants the government to allow visa waivers for international travellers to boost demand. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, Bangkok Airways president and AAT president, said cheaper and simplified procedures will attract more passenger traffic such as visa waivers and easier testing.
He also said the waiting period at the hotel for Test & Go scheme should be cut to allow tourists start their holidays sooner.
"Further loosening of restrictions will help enhance our competitiveness," Puttipong said.
