Spend a night at the historical Sunset TowerÂ
Designed in 1929 by architect Leland A. Bryant, the Sunset Tower Hotel has long been an icon. Located on the Sunset Strip and styled in an elegant Art Deco style, the hotel was popular with celebrities and A-listers. Though Leland Bryant specialised in luxury apartments, the Sunset Tower proved to be his crowning achievement. In 2004 and again in 2018, the hotel underwent refurbishments, while maintaining its historic features. The style throughout the property is subtle, chic, understated and elegant.
A walking tour of the Harper Avenue Historic DistrictÂ
Explore the most culturally significant landmarks of West Hollywood through the Harper Avenue Historic District Tour. This self-guided tour is designed to introduce visitors to the various forces that have shaped the development of West Hollywood. The Harper District is a collection of unique apartment buildings that feature architectural styles that were revived in the 1920s and 30s. From the Spanish style courtyard complexes to French Chateau buildings and Mediterranean red-clay tiles, the tour takes visitors around eight properties all within walking distance.

Headquartered in three architectural landmarks by the Austrian-American architect Rudolph M. Schindler, the centre hosts a variety of programs ranging from exhibitions and events, to art residencies. The centre collaborates regularly with guest curators, artists and architects, with a mission to preserve and promote Schindler’s architecture. West Hollywood’s past on the Old Sherman Walking Tour
Known as Sherman from 1896 till 1924, the City of West Hollywood has a rich history which visitors can explore through the Old Sherman Walking Tour. Walk through West Hollywood’s earliest days and explore buildings and sites that played a crucial role, not just in the development of the city, but also in the history of the wider Los Angeles County. Guiding visitors through a trail featuring 13 locations, see iconic residences and studios. The self-guided tour gives visitors an insight into the rich historical and cultural fabric of “Old Sherman”. One of the area’s most fascinating buildings is the home and studio of famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s eldest son who lived and worked there from 1927 till his death in 1978.
