Thomson Cruises to reintroduce ex-UK sailings
Thomson is reintroducing cruises from the UK for summer 2017, the first time it has operated from the UK since 2014.
Since then, its ships have been based in other ports in the summer, including Palma, Corfu and Dubrovnik.
Thomson blamed the withdrawal of ex-UK cruises on a drop in customer demand.
For summer 2017, it will base Thomson Celebration in Newcastle and will offer four to 14-night itineraries to the Norwegian Fjords, Scandinavia and the Baltics, including Copenhagen, Stockholm, St Petersburg, and Reykjavik.
Announcements about the positioning of Thomson’s other ships for next summer are expected shortly.
