Thousands sign petition to upgrade Disneyland Paris
More than 5,000 people have signed a petition demanding higher standards at Disneyland Paris.
Thousands claims the French theme park is ‘literally falling apart’ with broken rides, reheated food and cancelled shows.
The petition, which has 5,144 signatures has been sent to Bob Iger, chief executive of the California-based Walt Disney Company, which owns 39.8% of the French resort reports the Daily Mail.
It claims Disneyland Paris is not living up to the ‘Disney standard’.
"The upkeep of parks, attractions and hotels has been neglected so often during the past 20 years that many facilities are not "Disney standard"," it reads.
"Many themed elements are decaying and crumbling, while others are literally falling apart."
The petition titled ‘Save Disneyland Paris’ has been translated into six languages.
It was started by Belgian theme park enthusiast Guillaume Gallant who claims he was disappointed by his latest visit to the park.
Disneyland Paris, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, saw a record 16 million people go through its gates – nearly as many as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre combined.
A spokesperson for Disneyland Paris said: "Both The Walt Disney Company and the management of Disneyland Paris are dedicated to ensuring that our resort offers each of its guests a magical experience. We take guest comments very seriously and use them to help us evaluate our processes and procedures."
