Just a short drive from Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, historic Grapevine, Texas is the place to be for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse.

Not only one of the best connected place for visitors, Grapevine’s prime location within the path of totality unlocks an unmatched view of the celestial event.

As the moon and sun align, darkness will cover the city, creating an otherworldly atmosphere.

Crowds will gather in Grapevine’s parks, the historic Main Street District or historic Nash Farm to witness this once in a generation event.

The Eclipse strikes at 12:23 p.m. on Monday, April 8, with the Total Solar Eclipse starting at 1:41 p.m. until 1:43 p.m.

It will then begin to wind down, eventually coming to an end at 3:02 p.m.

To add to the ambience, themed music will be playing throughout the Main Street District allowing guests to get fully immersed and in the mood for this one-off moment.

There will be photo ops with costumed space characters.

Many local businesses are also getting in on the fun.

Grapevine is also offering a unique VIP Eclipse Experience.

VIP access to Peace Plaza gives guests a front-row seat to live, themed music.

A $60 card to use at Harvest Hall offers a choice of delicious food and drinks.

VIP tickets also include a swag bag valued at $275 filled with exclusive eclipse souvenirs.

Additionally, Grapevine Vintage Railroad will offer a one-hour excursion the day of the eclipse, departing at 9:50 a.m.

For those looking to kick off the festivities early, head to Historic Nash Farm.

On Friday, April 5, an Eclipse Party will be held for guests to learn about safe ways to view eclipses.

Visitors will get to experience a hands-on, craft-making session, learning to make a pinhole camera while enjoying party games and eclipse stories.

The best views in town are from the Grapevine Main Observation Tower.
