Tourico Holidays adds Viking Cruises’ inventory
Wholesale travel broker Tourico Holidays has partnered with Viking Cruises to offer the line’s inventory of more than 2,000 cruises to Tourico’s 4,900 travel distribution clients.
Tourico has also added host-to-host XML connectivity for its cruise products which comprises 15 cruise lines and more than 10,000 different cruise departures.
"The cruise industry is one of our fastest growing business segments, so we’ve stepped up our game to meet the demand," said Steve Skidgel, Tourico’s executive vice president of global product development.
"We’ve optimized our technology to ensure that booking a cruise using the Tourico platform is quick and convenient – and most importantly, highly accurate. We’ve strengthened our inventory by partnering with the wildly popular and rapidly growing cruise supplier, Viking Cruises, opening its inventory to our travel distribution clients.
To support the growing demand for cruise business, Tourico has named Lori Sheller as the new vice president of cruise development.
Sheller was previously vice president of sales and marketing at major cruise retailer Online Vacation Center.
"I see incredible growth potential for Tourico Holidays’ cruise business. Signing Viking and providing XML connectivity to our partners is just the beginning – and I’m excited to be a part of a team that is constantly innovating on behalf of its customers," Sheller said.
