Travel 2/4 launches online booking
An internet booking facility for agents has been launched by Travel 2/4.
The move by the Cendant-owned company will allow agents to book consolidated scheduled fares online via the www.travel2.com and www.travel4.com websites.
The internet booking cabability is designed to offer agents a quick and easy way to access Travel 2/4’s range of air fares – with hotels to be added soon.
Agents will also be able to access published fares and apply for Australian tourist visas online.
A key feature of the system is advanced administration, which allows a designated person in each agency the flexibility to set commission and ticketing fee levels – enabling the agency to maximise its earnings from bookings while remaining as competitive as possible in its local market, according to the operator.
The operator is offering agents a chance to win round-the-world tickets for two by playing an online game as part of the launch.
Managing director Shaun Hinds said: “The internet booking facility is central to our plans for developing Travel 2 Travel 4 business and providing the best possible service to all our travel agent customers.
“We are making it fast, easy and convenient for agents to undertake their regular transactions online, which in turn will free up our reservations staff to devote more time to the more complex bookings.”
