Travel Counsellors hits billion-pound milestone
Travel Counsellors has said ‘thanks a billion’ to its community by passing £1 billion in sales for the first time.
The record achievement comprises £735 million in leisure sales and a further £265 million generated from corporate SME clients over the rolling 12-month period.
A significant portion of these sales – £364 million – was attributed to tailored TC packages.
TC Journeys, one of the latest features built into the company’s tech platform now offers over 215 itineraries across 66 countries.
The most popular leisure destinations during this period included the Mediterranean, US, Southeast Asia, the Indian Ocean and cruise bookings.
For corporate clients, the US remained the top of the list.
The Travel Counsellors travel agent community has continued to grow.
Nearly 300 new business owners joined in the last year, bringing the total number to 2,121 at the end of August.
Notably, 171 of those achieved their best-ever sales performance in the past 12 months.
Steve Byrne, Travel Counsellors, CEO said: “We are absolutely delighted to have reached this £1 billion sales milestone, made possible by our entire Travel Counsellors community.”
“Our success is driven by the strength of our technology platform, enhanced by the human touch of our Travel Counsellors.”
In celebration of the milestone several events will take place throughout the week.
The highlight is a special live edition of the company’s TCTV show, produced live in their in-house studio in Manchester, where several TCs will join the audience as they mark their Anniversary Day with the business.
