Travel packages launched for Sydney events

A new campaign has launched to boost visitors to New South Wales during winter by highlighting Sydney’s event line-up and promoting travel packages.

The campaign links Destination NSW, the government’s tourism and major events agency, and Qantas Holidays, part of Jetset Travelworld Group.

It features travel packages to Sydney for events such as the rugby league double State of Origin, the Bledisloe Cup, Australian Garden Show Sydney, British and Irish Lions rugby and Australia v Manchester United soccer.

The $400,000 campaign, which includes radio, print and digital media, aims to drive bookings during July, August and early September.
