Travelocity fine tunes hotel booking

Travelocity announced it had revamped its hotel-shopping engine to allow consumers to fine tune their search aimed at price, amenities or property ratings. Shoppers can now sort hotels by price, rating, name and distance from designated geographical locations, the company says. The upgraded hotel search options also have what Travelocity calls a “unique information grid” with travel reviews, hotel descriptions and photos, amenities and AAA diamond ratings. The company said users would also find a “marked improvement” in search response times. “Hotel searches at Travelocity are now significantly faster and less complicated,” said Josh Feuerstein, vice president, hotels.
