Under fire small jet operator OneJet is suspending all services until October.
Making no reference to its mounting financial woes, the carrier says it plans to transition to a fully owned 135 operating certificate rather than outsourcing its flight operations.
All flights are temporarily suspended until at least October 1.
Pittsburgh-based OneJet apologized for the disruption.
"Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by this disruption; the result of this transition will be a more robust and reliable operation for our customers from the fourth quarter forward," it said.
OneJet said the transition will last eight weeks and that it expects to resume flight bookings on Oct.ober 1.
Onejet has been beset with problems recently, including an IRS demand for $622,000 for non-payment of taxes.
That followed legal action by Pittsburgh’s Allegheny County Airport Authority which claimed Onejet failed to operate the required number of routes as promised when it received a $1 million grant from the airport authority.
Prior to the suspension announcement, OneJet had trimmed back its network to just a handful of regular scheduled routes.
