Tube strikes suspended as talks continue
London Underground strikes planned for this week have been called off after talks between unions and managers.
The Unite union said it had suspended two 24-hour walk-outs as a ‘gesture of goodwill’ but has pencilled in two new dates – September 8 and 10 – if a deal is not reached.
Workers who are members of the RMT, Unite and TSSA unions are unhappy with proposals over pay and shifts for a new 24-hour tube service due to start next month.
