Two Caribbean airlines join TSA PreCheck program
Two more international airlines have joined the Transportation Security Administration’s verified traveler PreCheck program.
Both airlines are Caribbean based.
Trinidad based Caribbean Airlines and RED Air, based in the Dominican Republic have joined.
PreCheck allows travelers enrolled in the program to use expedited airport security lanes when flying with the airlines.
The airlines join over 100 airlines that participate in the program.
“Enrolled airline passengers must have the TSA PreCheck indicator on their boarding pass. Most TSA PreCheck passengers wait less than 10 minutes in dedicated lanes at airport checkpoints nationwide,” the TSA said.
RED Air is a relatively new airline which launched after the pandemic.
TSA PreCheck enrolled passengers can go through security screening with shoes, belts, and light jackets left on.
They can also leave their laptops and liquids in their bags.
Membership of TSA PreCheck lasts for five years.
