UK management shake-up by Air France/KLM
Air France and KLM are to create a single management team for the UK and Ireland.
Christine Ourmières, current Air France general manager for the region, will become new general manager for Air France/KLM next summer.
KLM general manager Vincent Knoops will then handover his responsibilities to her.
The UK sales team will be split into two new joint departments. Simon Spinks, current sales director UK for KLM will become head of direct and leisure sales UK for the two airlines, and Tom Reeves, current head of sales UK for Air France will become the head of business sales.
“This next step has been made with the intention of reinforcing the commitments of Air France and KLM, and will focus on maximizing the opportunities and synergies of the group in UK and Ireland,” a statement said.
There was no information available on the implications for the 180 UK and Ireland staff as a result of the changes.
