United Airlines passenger jumps out of emergency exit at Houston

Tuesday, 29 November 20163 min read
A United Airlines passenger simply couldn’t wait to line up to exit a plane at Houston Airport.
Instead the woman bailed out using the emergency exit of the Boeing 737 which had arrived from New Orleans.
She opened the over wing emergency exit and then jumped about 15 feet to the tarmac, Houston police said.
Airport CCTV surveillance showed the woman running toward the airport terminal.
The airline said the emergency slide did not automatically deploy.
The incident caused a delay for other passengers exiting the plane as the plane had not completed taxiing to the gate when she jumped.
The woman was detained and questioned by police and FBI agents.
