Universal Studios Japan plans to hike admission prices again in 2016, for the seventh consecutive year.
A one-day studio pass will rise by 200 yen to 7,400 yen (US$60) from February 1, but tickets for children aged 4 to 11 years will remain the same at 4,980 yen, park operator Osaka-based USJ Co. said.
Admission fees were last increased in January 2015.
The park is looking to recoup its investment having expanded this year to include a 3-D ‘Harry Potter’ attraction.
Rival Tokyo Disney Resort hiked its admission prices in April this year to 6,900 yen for a day pass.
