Virgin chooses Galileo - TravelMole

Virgin chooses Galileo

Friday, 13 Dec, 2002 0

Virgin Holidays has selected Galileo as its preferred GDS.

The operator has only required a GDS since September, when it took on partnerships with other schedule carriers to fly customers to its expanded list of destinations. The operator launched a worldwide programme of holidays outside the US, Caribbean and South Africa in September, to destinations like Bostwana, Dubai, Hong Kong, Australia and the South Pacific.

Virgin Holidays said Galileo was the preferred choice because of its technological solutions and because it was compatible with Virgin’s system.

The operator will use Galileo Focalpoint and Viewpoint graphical interface. It has signed a three-year contract.
